Georgios Karakasidis
I am a PhD student at the Centre for Speech Technology Research (CSTR) at the University of Edinburgh. My research focuses on the application of curriculum learning for unsupervised and lightly-supervised speech recognition models, and I am supervised by Peter Bell and Ondrej Klejch.
Previously, I was a part of the Speech Recognition group at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, where I worked on curriculum learning for speech recognition with Mikko Kurimo and Tamás Grósz.
Besides Speech Recognition, my interests include the development of local-only/privacy-preserving smart home systems. I am always open to collaborate on new topics, so feel free to reach out!
